About Us

The RHH Research Foundation is an independent entity, raising funds for local health and medical research across Tasmania. Since establishment in 1997, the Foundation has invested over $10m in funding for research into diseases and disorders which impact the health and wellbeing of Tasmanians.

The Foundation's team is made up of five passionate staff members who work across a range of areas, including research, administration, finance, events, corporate sponsorship and donor relations.

The Foundation has a Board made up of ten members from a range of diverse business backgrounds, who each provide high level support and strategic direction for the Foundation’s activities.

Following a rigorous assessment process, research grants are awarded by the Foundation’s Scientific Research Advisory Committee, which is endorsed by the National Health and Medical Research Council.

As an independent entity, the Foundation relies on the generosity of individual members of the Tasmanian community and local businesses to raise much needed funds for medical research. We do this in a number of ways including fundraising and community events, bequests, direct appeals and regular giving.

Further details on the RHH Research Foundation and our operations are listed on the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission website.
